The distribution of a fuel subsidy for taxi drivers began today, April 24 to 25, at the LTFRB Central Office in Quezon City, Philippines. Under this program, beneficiaries will receive a ₱5,000 fuel subsidy. On the first day of distribution, many drivers flocked to the office early in the dawn, with some lining up as early as 2:30 a.m., eager to receive the aid.

Drivers Queue Early Amid High Hopes

The early morning hours saw a significant number of taxi drivers gathering, creating long queues. Even drivers whose names were not yet included in the official masterlist showed up, hoping to be granted the assistance. This initiative, reported by Bea Cuadra of ABS-CBN News, is expected to provide much-needed relief to drivers facing rising fuel costs.
