Stepfather Arrested on Suspicion of Body Abandonment
In connection with the case of an 11-year-old boy's body found in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, police arrested the boy's stepfather on suspicion of abandoning a body in the early hours of the 16th. The arrested suspect, Yuki Adachi (37), a company employee from Sonobe-cho, Nantan City, is suspected of abandoning his adopted son Yuki's body in a forest in Sonobe-cho and other locations between the morning of the 23rd of last month and approximately 4:45 PM on the 13th of this month. According to police, Adachi has admitted to the charges, stating, 'There is no mistake in what I did.'
Case Progression and Expanding Investigation
Police indicated that the locations where Adachi allegedly abandoned the body were not limited to the forest where the body was found on the 13th, but also included other sites within Nantan City prior to that. It was revealed that Adachi had reported Yuki missing to the police on the 23rd of last month, after dropping him off at a primary school parking lot.
