Targeting 200,000 Attendees with Popular Genres
Yuen Jai-man (袁載文), a director of the Hong Kong Theatre Chamber of Commerce, stated that they aim to attract approximately 200,000 moviegoers this year, similar to last year's turnout. He noted that last year's 'Cinema Day' saw an occupancy rate of nearly 80%, and expressed optimism for similar or better results this year. Yuen specifically predicted that Chinese films and animations would be particularly popular among the public, with several major Western films also expected to perform well.
