DOJ Seeks to Overturn Seditious Conspiracy Convictions of Proud Boys, Oath Keepers Leaders
DOJ Requests to Vacate January 6 Convictions
The U.S. Department of Justice has filed with a federal appeals court to vacate the seditious conspiracy convictions of leaders from the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, who were involved in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots. The DOJ stated that its motion is consistent with its practice of asking the Supreme Court to vacate convictions when the government's prosecutorial discretion determines that a dismissal is in the interests of justice—motions that the Supreme Court routinely grants.
President Trump's Pardons for Capitol Rioters

Trump's proclamation provided a "full, complete and unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol" on January 6.
