51% of Americans Say 'Iran War' Not Worth It, 60% Oppose Attack
Growing American Skepticism Towards War with Iran
According to a survey by global research firm Ipsos, 51% of Americans believe the decision to wage war against Iran was not worth the cost. In contrast, only 24% of respondents thought the war was worth enduring. This skeptical view has intensified since immediately after the initial airstrikes on Iran.
Increased Opposition to Iran Attacks and Economic Concerns
The survey revealed that 60% of Americans oppose attacks on Iran, an increase of 17 percentage points compared to the period immediately following the airstrikes. Furthermore, 54% of respondents expressed concern that attacks on Iran would negatively impact their personal finances. This suggests that as conflicts with Iran escalated during Donald Trump's presidency, fatigue and economic anxieties regarding the war have grown within the United States.
