On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the funeral of Father Pierre Al-Rahi, who was killed in an Israeli military attack, was held in the southern Lebanese village of Klaya. Numerous villagers gathered to pay their respects and share in deep sorrow.

Father Antonios Fara, a priest in Lebanon, stated in an interview, "Losing Father Pierre was a tremendous shock and deep pain for all of us. However, it has only strengthened our resolve. We will remain faithful to his words and protect this place with unwavering determination." Basil Nora, a resident of Klaya, also honored the deceased's sacrifice, saying, "He was like a father to the village, a brave and strong person we all relied on. He shed his blood and sacrificed for this village."

Aftermath of the Israeli Attack and Regional Situation

Regarding the Israeli attack, Basil Nora explained the situation at the time: "A house in Klaya was bombed, and people were injured. While we were moving the injured, another shell landed next door to us, injuring and killing the priest."

According to the video, over the past week or so, Israeli military attacks across Lebanon have resulted in at least 570 deaths and 1,313 injuries, including 259 children among the wounded. Additionally, Israel's large-scale expulsion orders have forced approximately 700,000 people to leave their homes. This has occurred across various villages and regions in southern Lebanon.
