Mayday Soothes Fan Outcry with Free Rehearsal After Hong Kong Concert Cancellation Controversy
Mayday Cancels Hong Kong Show, Attempts to Appease Fans
Taiwanese rock band Mayday has sought to appease angry fans by inviting them to a free rehearsal after abruptly canceling one of their scheduled concerts in Hong Kong. The cancellation led to a surge of over 100 complaints from disgruntled fans. Mayday proposed the free rehearsal as a direct response to the disappointment expressed by their fans.
Complaints Soar, Authorities Warn
The Consumer Council reported receiving 111 complaints regarding the concert cancellation. Of these, 42 were from local consumers and 69 from overseas fans. In response, the Commissioner of Customs and Excise on Wednesday warned that enforcement actions would be taken if any breaches of regulations were found, indicating that authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
