Trump-Pardoned January 6th Rioter Sentenced to Life for Child Sex Crimes
Andrew Paul Johnson (45, Florida), a participant in the January 6th riot who was pardoned by then-President Donald Trump, was recently sentenced to life in prison for child sex offenses. He was arrested in August 2025, just seven months after his early release in January 2025 due to a January 6th incident-related pardon issued on the first day of Trump's anticipated return to the White House. He was convicted of sexual battery against a child, and it was revealed that he offered to share compensation he expected to receive from the Trump administration for the 'January 6th incident' in exchange for the victim's silence.
Status of Re-arrested January 6th Participants
Johnson, who was released under President Trump's blanket pardon, is one of several January 6th rioters re-incarcerated for child sex crimes. To date, approximately 36 individuals linked to the January 6th riot have been re-arrested for various crimes, with six of them indicted or convicted on sex crime charges.
