Iran Rejects US 'War End' Comment, Warns Against Regional Oil Export Halt
Iran Rejects Trump's Statement and Issues Strong Warning
Iran immediately and strongly rebutted US President Donald Trump's statement that "the war will end soon." Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated on social media platform X on the 10th (local time), "We never want a ceasefire, and we must ensure that aggressors never think of attacking Iran again." He emphasized the desire to break the Israeli-led cycle of 'war-negotiation-ceasefire-war.' On the same day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also warned, "The end of the war is ours (not the US')," adding, "If US and Israeli attacks continue, we will not allow a single liter of oil to be exported from this region." Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi declared that there would be no further dialogue with the United States.
Retaliatory Attacks on Key Israeli Facilities and Damage Status
Meanwhile, the Iranian military announced that it had struck Israel's Haifa refinery and other targets with suicide drones in retaliation for US and Israeli bombing of major oil storage facilities around Tehran. This facility is crucial, supplying 50% of Israel's gasoline and 60% of its diesel. The Iranian military stated that the attack caused some damage to the Israeli refinery and resulted in the deaths of three on-site employees. In response, Bazan Group, which operates the Haifa Bay refinery, explained, "Iranian drone and missile attacks caused localized damage to some power lines and pipelines, but core refining facilities are still operational." Iran's IRNA news agency previously reported that fuel storage facilities, including the Shafran oil depot in northwestern Tehran, were subjected to concentrated airstrikes by US and Israeli forces from the night of the 7th to the early morning of the 8th.
