Shenzhen Customs announced that it has significantly improved the efficiency of processing departure tax refund applications by utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology during the first two months of this year. According to a report by CCTV, from January to February of this year, Shenzhen Customs processed a total of 19,000 departure tax refund applications, an increase compared to the same period last year.

Thanks to the newly introduced AI technology, the inspection time during the departure tax refund process has been shortened to as little as one minute.
