Kia recently released 'Symphony of EV Technology,' a video introduced through Hyundai Motor Group's social media that showcases advanced assistance technologies designed to enhance the safety of electric vehicles. The video highlights technologies aimed at preventing accidents that can arise from drivers' pedal misapplication. A Kia official stated that the company will continue to advance its electrification technologies to encompass both safety and convenience.

Enhanced Driving Safety with Acceleration Limiting System

One of the technologies unveiled is a feature that precisely detects distances around the vehicle using sensors. This allows the vehicle's control system to actively intervene when the driver presses the accelerator pedal deeper than necessary. Specifically, if the driver exceeds a designated speed limit or drives at an excessively high speed, the Acceleration Limit Assist (ALA) function issues a warning and automatically restricts the vehicle's acceleration, helping ensure safe driving.
