Carlsbad Flower Fields in California Bloom with 80 Million Ranunculus
California's Carlsbad Flower Fields Burst with 80 Million Ranunculus
The Carlsbad Flower Fields, a quintessential spring attraction in California, have been transformed into a brilliant tapestry of red, pink, orange, and yellow ranunculus. Over 80 million ranunculus flowers stretch across 60,000 pyeong (approximately 49 acres) of hills, creating a spectacular rainbow-colored landscape. The fields also feature an orchid exhibit and a spring flower garden, attracting over 150,000 tourists annually. This year, due to dry winter weather, the flowers began blooming earlier than usual. Taylor Moss, operator of The Carlsbad Flower Fields, noted that visitors can feel a sense of escape from their daily lives.
Diverse Experiences Offered, April Anticipated as Peak Bloom
The Carlsbad Flower Fields offer a variety of interactive experiences, including live music performances, yoga programs, and a conservatory butterfly experience where hundreds of butterflies can be observed. The peak bloom, when the flowers are at their most beautiful, is anticipated in April, with the hills becoming increasingly vibrant as they progress towards the height of spring.
